Warped / cracked dryer drum - Samsung Dryer DV350AE
I purchased a Samsung dryer (model #DV350AE) 2 years ago. The dyer now makes a loud thumping sound. Research pointed to a cracked drum, further research on the web revealed that this defect with the drums weld seam is wide spread.
I called Samsung twice and they act as if this is not a product defect and that will not replace the drum. They wanted me to purchase a $300 one year extended warranty. A $900 dryer should last more than 2 years, I did not purchase the warranty and I will not ever purchase another Samsung appliance again. They look nice and modern but are not built to last more than 2 years.
